Meckel Diverticulum Carcinoid Tumor Complicated by Ileal Invagination. About One Case at Vichy Hospital

Meckel’s diverticulum is a common pathology in children and rare adults. We present case of 79-year-old patient which significant gastrointestinal bleeding, whose paraclinical explorations confirmed fatty tumor the terminal ileum. The exploratory coelioscopy revealed Meckel complicated intestinal invagination, resected at same time with resection extracorporeal anastomosis by mini coelio-guided laparotomy. Histology presence heterotopical tissue duodenal mucosa Brunner cells carcinoid tumor. In conclusion, this clinical shows that can be considered very important diagnostic therapeutic tool especially elderly.
